And I feel great.
Yesterday I ran my longest run ever at 13.25 miles. This morning, I feel fantastic. I’m a little tiered, but I’m not sore at all. My wife, son and I took a couple mile walk this morning to just enjoy the weather. We were registered for a 5K, but Megan (my wife) is struggling with allergies today and just didn’t want to walk the whole thing. Funny enough, she registered me for the 10K and didn’t tell me! If I had any idea I was supposed to run a 10K I wouldn’t have done that run yesterday! Anyhow, we ditched it and just enjoyed a nice stroll around the lake near our house.
This coming week I’m going to hit AOS Newport and the new Ropes Gone Wild sets. It should be pretty fun. I’m not sure what I’m going to do for my long run yet, so I’ll figure that out later in the week. I’d like to head up to 14 miles or so, but I’m in no rush. This coming weekend is going to be a busy for me anyhow, so I may end up cutting it a little shorter this week. I do want to make sure that my weekly milage continues to build. As a result, I think I’m going to start to bump my mid-week milage slightly again.
Anyhow, training is going great! I think I’m the thinnest I’ve been in about 9 years or so. Lots of work to do still, but it’s a fun journey.
