This evening I opted for a treadmill run, rather than a cruise around the neighborhood. I have no idea if I run harder on the treadmill, but it sure feels like it. I was pushing a 90/90 run/walk for 20 minutes with a five minute warm-up/cool-down. It was a rocking 30 minute run, and hard as heck for a big guy like me.
I’m really, really please that I was able to push out the runs at 6 mph, that is a HUGE improvement for me. I was really feeling it at the end, but that is okay. About 7 minutes of stretching after the run to make sure I stay loose. I’ll probably stretch out my calves again, they are pretty darn tight!
