Training Log - Feb 7 2008

I am officially very tired.

That workout totally smoked me today.

Today’s Workout

Warm up: 40 Halo’s (20 each way), 20 Wall Squats, 20 Pumps

Workout: Total of 108 Swings and 5 Minutes of Active Recovery.

Here is how it breaks down: Swings / 1 min active recovery - repeat. 20/Jog, 20/Burpees, 17/Jog, 17/Jump rope, 14/Jog, 20/walk it out.

Notes: All of this was performed with the 24kg kettlebell. The workout was pretty brutal for a fat guy. I was huffing and puffing my way through the whole thing. My target is to do all of the swings at 20 reps for this workout. I just couldn’t make it happen this time. The very last time doing swings I took them very slow and powered through.

After the workout I took a bit of time to walk around, and them headed off to make dinner.

Diet: As far as the diet is concerned today has been very similar to yesterday. I had a banana at noon, then a strawberry yogurt at about 3 pm. For dinner I started off with some broccoli then two slices of pizza. I’m letting that sit for a while, then I’m sure I’ll be back to get a little more food.

It’s really funny. Normally, I’d have eaten about 4 pieces of pizza right away. By starting with the broccoli, and feeling okay about eating more later, I didn’t feel the need to eat that much. It is a pretty nice feeling.

Hopefully tomorrow produces a nice bit of weight loss. I’d really like to get to the point where I can get my body fat and start tracking it.
